Cross-Sell Efforts for Insurance: Mobile Apps

Goal

Deliver a well-timed mobile app trigger to drive cross-sell and increase average products per household for your existing customers seen in-market shopping for additional policies.

Strategy

Send a push notification to mobile app users as soon as Activate sees them in-market for an additional policy.

The messaging should encourage them to request a quote through your mobile app.  Campaign measurements should focus on engagement metrics closely related to the push notification, such as open rates and click-through rates.

Initial Test
Group 1: Consumers with Activity (‘Seen’)
Group 2: Consumers with No Activity (‘Not Seen’)
Treatment: Run the initial test using Group 2 as a
control group, sending the same message
to contacts for each group
Measurement: Lift in open rate and click-through
rate between Groups 1 & 2
