Jornaya is committed to making a positive difference and we are proud to support efforts that help. Since the start of COVID-19, Jornaya has focused our financial support to an organization that helps the Philadelphia community, PHL-COVID-19 Fund, most recently with a donation of $3,000.
The PHL COVID-19 Fund rapidly deploys solutions and resources to help nonprofit communities navigate the impacts of COVID-19. The organization ensures critical resources remain available and readily accessible for those who have the greatest needs and who are most disproportionately affected.
Grants from the PHL COVID-19 Fund help nonprofits serving these at-risk populations—which include seniors, people with disabilities, survivors of abuse, and those who are experiencing homelessness or who are economically disadvantaged—so community safety nets and other essential supports stay intact.
“COVID-19 is creating new needs while putting enormous financial pressure on our community,” said Todd Nelson, COO, Jornaya. “We are extremely grateful for those who have been and remain on the front lines throughout this pandemic: the doctors, nurses, and especially the volunteers and organizations who are supporting the recovery of our region and our most vulnerable neighbors.”
The Fund is a collaboration established between the City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Foundation, and United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) to aid nonprofits working to respond to the impact the pandemic is having throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.
